The whole point of having a decent two or three week buffer built up, is so that I can go on vacation or be sick and not miss content days. Except that the buffer was at one day before I left on vacation. But hey, I’m back! And what a trip it was! I’m going to have a lot to write about in the next few weeks, but for now, here’s the reasonably condensed video version, shot on my first run back in my home neighborhood again.
Call me paranoid, but I’m not really keen on the idea of broadcasting on social media that I’m going on vacation and that my house will be unoccupied for a couple of weeks. So I pretty much went radio silent on all my usual channels until we got back. The negative of that choice (no instant pics) was pretty well outweighed by the positives (not constantly checking my phone, quiet time, and a lot less stress).
As noted in the vlog, the main impetus for the trip was to see my little brother get married. I honestly wasn’t sure this would ever happen, and we weren’t going to miss it. There’s a whole lot of stuff to do between Central Florida and South Dakota though, so we made time to have some fun on the way back.
