On the night of September 10th, Sioux Falls got hammered by three EF-2 class tornadoes. While things are mostly back to normal now, it was definitely a rough night.
Fortunately, our whole community has been really coming together to help out people in need. Lots of folks with chainsaws out helping remove fallen trees from around neighborhoods, volunteering to help with cleanup, and just generally doing what needed to be done. A week later most things look back to normal, although for some of the homes and businesses that took direct hits, recovery is obviously going to be a much longer process.
And just like that, everything’s pretty much back to normal for us. Oh, I had to go use a leaf blower on the roof to get all the sticks and debris off, but that’s pretty normal in this neighborhood.
