My muse seems to be lost out in a field somewhere recovering from a major hangover after celebrating a milestone birthday yesterday. Thus, much like the South Dakota weather which can’t decide whether it’s supposed to be Spring or Winter, I can’t decide between showcasing some cool propeller aircraft, or some more awesomely loud jets.
Props, or jets? Props? or Jets? To steal the joke from the ’90s Miller Lite commercials, “Let’s Watch Both!”
Wait, that’s Luge Bowling, not props and jets. Let’s try that again…
And that’s why it’s called a Yak-110. 55*2 = 110, and that’s a pair of Yak-55s joined together with a new center wing section and a General Electric CJ610-6 (a civilian non-afterburning version of the GE J85 found in the T-38, F-5, and several other small aircraft) hanging underneath. Hopefully they’ll come to an airshow near me in the next couple of years.
