The fastest week in motorsports came to an end on Sunday with the various class Gold races at Reno. While I couldn’t be there in person (one of these years, I’ve got to get back there), it was great to see that RARA finally got their streaming game together after a few years of not having streaming work properly. This meant I could spend much of last week watching racing live while I worked!
A major highlight for me was the new STOL Drag Race event. I skipped watching these videos when they came out of Oshkosh, and I missed out. These are great! But don’t take my word for it, just watch them.
Video of the races has been difficult to find so far, although to be fair, most of the usual suspects who were at Reno are just now getting home, loading files into their PCs and starting what will no doubt be a very long editing process.
But even though I prefer the racing of the Sport, Formula 1, Jet, and T-6 classes, there’s still something about the old warbirds of the Unlimited class.
But if you can’t wait for the highlights, RARA still has the archives of the live feed up. Like I said, Sunday had some great races.
