Rule 5 Warships – Murasaki (Senran Kagura Crossover)

The Azur Lane devs sure have an interesting sense of humor. Just in time for peak consumerism season, they’ve kicked off a new crossover event called ”The Ninja Scrolls: Azur Flash” featuring a bunch of characters from the Senran Kagura series. Which is a series of games and anime featuring quite a lot of fanservice and ostensibly revolving around female ninjas doing ninja things. How that makes sense with a game like Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash, I have no idea.

Seriously, this series has a lot of games. The series started on the 3DS, but it looks like everything has migrated to Steam. There’s also a ton of DLC outfits for the games, naturally (which might be the only natural thing about some of these ladies). Looks like my wishlist gained a few more entries.

But anyway, let’s spend a couple weeks checking out a couple of the lovely ladies crossing over into the Azur Lane world for this event!

First up is Murasaki. She’s a ninja at Hebijō Clandestine Girls’ Academy who rarely leaves her room, and despite never attending classes, is the most dangerous shinobi in the school’s history. She has a cynical personality, thinks friendship is a lie, and rejects the idea that strength comes from having people counting on you.

In the Azur Flash event, she’s available as a PT reward for collecting sufficient points in the missions. She has a swimsuit outfit (because of course she does), along with her main look. With her rigging, she’s categorized as a Light Aircraft Carrier.

Unsurprisingly for a series over a decade old, all of the Senran Kagura girls have quite a lot of fanart and cosplay. Much of it is severely NSFW, but at least I wasn’t hurting for choices trying to come up with this post.
