I officially started my new job yesterday. Last week was a whirlwind cleaning of the “Future Office Room” that’s been tagged as such since we moved into this house three and a half years ago. It’s certainly not done yet, as I have a lot of items that I’m still stepping around to get to my workstation, but at least I have a good third of the room that’s a functioning workspace.
This week looks to be a lot of the standard new guy orientation tasks, and trying to start learning the product that I’m expected to become a Subject Matter Expert on. On the plus side, working from home means that I always have a great parking spot, and the office always has my favorite coffee. Also, the office manager is pretty hot.
More commentary later, but I’m writing this Monday night after a long day of figuratively attempting to drink from a firehose. My brain is full, and my muse has already packed it in for the night.
