Last week I received a rather surprising invitation from a sports nutrition supplement company to join their roster of sponsored athletes. I say surprising, because I had no idea I was on anyone’s radar for something like that save for some obnoxious spam-bots on Instagram trying to recruit me as a “Brand Ambassador” for their overpriced “Urban Streetwear” clothing lines, which consist of ripped skinny jeans and white t-shirts. Why I would buy $200 worth of clothes that I can buy at Walmart for $30 is beyond me. But that’s not the point here.
I do use a couple of different sports supplements for running, and am interested in a couple more as I explore what science can do to help improve my performance. The main way I’m going to continue to improve is simply by continuing to push myself to go faster and farther, but I’ve already found that a good preworkout can provide some significant benefits to my fasted morning runs. Enter Enhanced Performance Nutrition (EPN).
I’m not going to get too deep into any of their products right now, because I’m currently awaiting my first shipment, but I’m particularly excited to try their preworkout, BCAAs, and weight loss products. In fact, I’m starting with their 1080p Thermogenic Fatburner, which I’m hoping will help push me over the line on my weight loss goals. I’m so close to my target weight goals now, I just need an extra kick to get over the line!
