Kind of a tough run this afternoon. Beautiful weather, but the thirty degree swing from last weekend might have threw me off a little bit. I burned through a lot more water than I have in the past few long runs. At least the rhino seemed to be enjoying the warmth and humidity.
One of the neat things about having my long runs along the city’s levee trail is that it runs along the backside of the local zoo. There’s not much outside during the winter, but now that things are finally warming up, a lot more wildlife that isn’t native to South Dakota should be showing up more often. And chugging along the trail, it’s all free. (Even if you do find yourself downwind of a zoo at some point.)
