One of these years I’ll manage to take a trip and not have that involve an extended blog sabatical. Clearly, 2020 is not that year. PAX South was a great trip though. I wrote about some of it over on Marooners’ Rock, but there’s quite a bit more that I’ll be talking about next week.
Today though, I want to take a moment and wish my father a happy birthday. If the weather cooperates, I’ll be spending my morning as aircrew in a CAP Cessna playing target for the F-16s of our local ANG unit. It’s unlikely that I’d be doing that if it weren’t for my dad. He’s the one who got me my first airplane ride and sparked a lifelong love of aviation.
He gave me a great example of how to a good father to my kids, and how to act with integrity. He’s not perfect, no one is, but he taught me a lot of what it means to be a godly man who puts his family first in his life.
