And so another campaign begins. We rejoin the Tiger’s Claw and her crew at an historic moment: A new civilization is about to join the Confederation! The Firekka, a race of bird-like aliens with natural piloting skills who live way off the galactic beaten path are joining the party (and we’ll basically never hear about them again after this game). Of course, the Kilrathi are up to something, and what should be a massive party is about to get crashed.
Things start off relatively simply. Just a basic patrol as we’re recalled back on duty. It seems that the Kilrathi fleet has caught wind of this quiet backwater at just the worst possible moment.
Theoretically we can just recon the big group between Nav 2 and the Claw and use the Hornet’s speed to just burn for home. But where’s the fun in that? At the end of the day, we’re gamers, not real fighter pilots. Kill count matters!
