In flight operations, “Irregular Operations” are defined as a delay or cancellation resulting from weather, mechanical issues, or a host of other issues. For the Caster Clan, it should probably be defined as “I can’t figure out my schedule because I’m trying to figure out how to juggle my running schedule, family time, actual work, and a few other minor things. We’re getting close to full tempo again, but maybe it was a bit premature last week to promise that we were going to be back to a full schedule.
On the plus side, a short heat wave (okay, that’s a relative term, but still…) meant it warmed up enough for me to feel comfortable running outside! It was a bit sloppy, and I came home with wet socks and shoes, but it was totally worth it to not grind out another Saturday run on a treadmill. I won’t get too many opportunities like this until March. Gotta take advantage when I can.
